In the blink of an eye, I'll be driving northwest following a well worn trail to the interior of New York State. There will be wine, friends, food, and all that is good.
I've written a lot about the wines in my back yard (what I like to call Long Island) - they really are great. But the Finger Lakes region is the cradle of New York's modern wine era coined the “Vinifera Revolution.” If there were a #NYWine family tree, Dr. Konstantin Frank's vineyard in Hammondsport is the root stock - I'm thrilled to be meeting the farmers, wine makers and chefs that are contributing to the revolution.
Look out world, I am writing again. I'll bring you along to this year's conference, and share what I discover with you!
Until then here is what I have written about NY State wine in the past.
