From The Commonwealth Collection
This wine was developed to showcase the terroir of Loudoun County. During the tasting, I noted the full flavor, the berry smell with an overtone of eucalyptus and the tannins - they packed a punch. But there was plenty of local ham to enjoy with this wine and it tamed the tannins. The local land is lush and fertile farmland - land with promise and history. In this case, Tarara hit the mark spot on.
A bottle of TerraNoVA was gifted to each of us and I will do a proper review when we have it with dinner one night. I think that this bottle will age well, and it will be a great reminder of Tarara and all of the work and pride that went into making it.
(79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 10% Tannat) 14% ETOH
