Tarara Winery Nevaeh Red `08 $40.00 WBC11

From the undertones of leather to the bright hint of cedar, this full fruit red has a hint of sweetness and could be a great sipping wine. I put it on my shopping list for next spring. I also imagined this to me my "Thomas Jefferson Claret", an easy drinking all around versatile red wine that you could have when you just want a glass of wine when you are taking a break from garden planning or writing Declarations and such.

The history/genetics of these classic varietals and the easy hand in blending and aging them make this a great wine.  When I started cooing over the Cabernet Franc notes in the wine, Liza from brixchicks.com (I hope it was you Liza, I am terrible with names!) sitting next to me said "Cabernet Franc is the Secret Sauce".

(71% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc)
14% ETOH  Loved it!

This is my tasting review from the WBC2011 Pre-Conference Tour of Loudoun County, VA Wineries and Vineyards. Tarara Tour Post
