From the Commonwealth Collection
This
is Tarara Winery's power wine. With so much fruit packed in the bottle, then aged
in new Virginia oak, this bottle with change over the years. I expect
that it will mature gracefully and carry with it all of the complex
dried fruit flavor and tannic structure that define a Merlot/Cabernet
Sauvignon blend. We drank it fairly young, and it packed a whollop. This
is the wine that the big boys drink with a steak and a cigar. The
chocolate undertones are there, and the oakiness just screams for a
fatty piece of steak.
(53% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc) 14% ETOH
